Maine has the opportunity to pass strong data privacy legislation that protects consumer data without jeopardizing the tools that help our local businesses succeed.
But unfortunately, LD1822 is the wrong approach and will jeopardize access to digital tools that small businesses rely on. That’s why we’re urging our legislators to oppose LD1822.
Instead, they should support the minority report on LD 1822, which represents a smart, consistent state law that protects consumers AND supports local business growth.
